For Clark, it allows him to escape the Phantom Zone, has only members of his bloodline are able to unlock the gate. It has deeply restorative properties on both humans and Kryptonian’s:

- Zombie Antidote: It was also converted into an antidote which can cure humans from a zombie virus.

Superman’s body generates a protective bioelectric aura around his body. Due to his superhuman durability he doesn’t require the protection, but this field can be projected onto other people and objects. It’s why heavy objects being lifted don’t buckle under their own weight, or why people he catches in mid air aren’t crushed when they hit his arms, and how he is able to safely move humans at super speeds, without friction and whiplash damaging them. This aura can be projected outwards of his body to create a visible force field around others, and even as a defensive attack, blasting outward force all around him.
The aura prevents him from getting dirty.

Kryptonian’s are able to see through solid objects, as if they were peeling away layers with their eyes. The only object they can’t see through is lead. Although they can see into the X-ray portion of the electromagnetic spectrum, this power seems to go beyond that, as they can see objects in full colour, and remove specific layers by will.

With this ability they are able to see perfectly clear in absolute darkness. This allows Superman to not only work effectively at night but also helps him while traveling in space, underground, or underwater. This ability is most often combined with X-Ray Vision.
