Lor-Van is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. He is Superman grandfather and the father of Lara Lor-Van was a Kryptonian astronaut before the ban on space-travel.
Fictional character biography[]
Silver Age[]
Lor-Van was a native of Kryptonopolis on the planet, Krypton. He married a woman named Lara Rok-Var and gave birth to a daughter named Lara. Lara would go on to marry Jor-El the Second of the noble House of El, and in turn give birth to Lor-Van's grandson, Kal-El.
