Steel is a comic book published by DC Comics. This ongoing series features the character of John Henry Irons. Irons was first introduced in the pages of The Adventures of Superman #500 and was the spotlight title character in the Superman: The Man of Steel comic series for over six months. Steel was also featured in his own full-length feature film, where he was played by basketball star Shaquille O'Neal.
