Kara Zor-El (aka Supergirl) is a Kryptonian from Argo City and is Superman's cousin.
After the Omegahedron, a device which powered her city was lost, she went to Earth to get it back.
History[]
Kara was the daughter of Zor-El and Alura In-Zee and lived in Argo City, a place in the inner depths of space. She was friends with the city's founder Zaltar who was fascinated by Earth and made things from it such as a tree. He one day hoped to visit it.
Kara however found out that Zaltar had taken the Omegahedron to use in his creations and when it got sucked through the vacuum of space. Kara set off to get it back while Zaltar banished himself to the Phantom Zone for his crime.
Upon reaching Earth through an inter-dimensional vortex, Kara discovered that she had the same powers as her cousin and began her quest of searching for the Omegahedron.
To conceal her true identity, she attending Midvale High school and took on the name Linda Lee, Clark Kent's cousin. There she befriended Lois' sister Lucy and became the love interest of the school caretaker Ethan.
She soon discovered that the Omegahedron had been taken by an evil sorceress named Selena who wanted to use the device to improve her black arts and conquer the world. After several battles, Selena sent Supergirl to the Phantom Zone where she met Zaltar who helped her escape but lost his life in the process.
During a final battle with Selena, Supergirl used her powers to send Selena to the Phantom Zone and trap her there for eternity. After saying goodbye to everyone and making them promise not to tell anyone what had happened. Supergirl returned to Argo City and her home was safe once again.
